Sadia Akhter Aurna was born in Bangladesh and is a recent graduate of the University of Findlay, Ohio. During her college career, she was heavily involved with activities to enhance the global knowledge of the campus community and beyond. She worked with students from high schools and pioneered many initiatives, like the celebration of International Mother Language Day on campus. She has also completed seven internships across the country and in Bangladesh. To name a few, she was a fund development intern with iDE, a development intern with On Earth Peace, and a general intern with Grameen Bank. She loves reading and learning from people with different worldviews. She is also very much into spiritual practices and plans to continue living and learning through those practices. She hopes to gain insight from the communities she works with while also bringing her own experiences from all over the world to the Kansas City community and believes that this will only strengthen what can be accomplished when people from different backgrounds with disparate experiences come together. She loves cooking and sharing a meal with others.
