Danielle Kunz is currently a senior at the University of Kansas, studying Strategic Communications alongside Global and International Studies while obtaining a certificate in Global Awareness. Her interest in international relations came from her many experiences such as working with an orphanage in Uganda and learning the Mayan indigenous language, Kaqchikel. She has capitalized on her experiences by utilizing them around campus to ensure a welcoming environment. She has been an active member and held positions within organizations such as Synergy and Habitat for Humanity while working with a group of students to combat language death. She aspires to continue her work with international relations by bringing awareness and a more educated perspective to people’s mindset, therefore propelling a more diverse and open-minded society. In her free time Danielle enjoys yoga, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
