About the International Book Club

The International Relations Council is excited to announce the launch of our newly combined book club, bringing together the best of our “Global Affairs Book Club” and “A Novel Experience.” This reimagined International Book Club, facilitated by IRC member Parker Heying, is meant to offer an engaging space for readers of all ages and backgrounds to connect, explore, and discuss thought-provoking books that illuminate the complexities of our world.

Whether you’re passionate about nonfiction deep dives into global issues or enjoy novels that provide fresh perspectives on international cultures and experiences – you can find thoughtful, nuanced discussion that explores the world. Each meeting will start off with an open-forum discussion between readers about the topics and themes of the books, and for the second half, we will be joined by a subject-matter expert to help provide additional context & insights.
