The University of Kansas is the flagship university for the state of Kansas. Founded in 1865, and now serving over 28,000 students across multiple campuses, the University of Kansas serves as a bastion of research and education for the region. The institution supports the expansion of global awareness through numerous debate and international programs. In addition, with over 25% of its students going on at least one foreign exchange program, the University of Kansas provides a platform for individuals to engage with the international community. 

The International Relations Council of Kansas City and the University of Kansas have collaborated on numerous events including the Your Global Future College and Career Fair, and individual programs such as our evening with exiled Venezuelan Mayor David Smolansky
