Member Since January 2020
The English-Speaking Union is a non-profit, non-political educational organization that employs English as a catalyst to foster global understanding and good will through educational and cultural exchange programs for students, educators, newcomers to the U.S., and members. The U.S. Headquarters, in New York City, and the Kansas City Branch were both founded in 1920 and we are celebrating our 2020 centennial year with special programming in Kansas City and nationally. There are 65 ESU Branches in the U.S. and branches in 53 countries worldwide. The ESU Kansas City Branch offers many educational and cultural programs including the ESU National Shakespeare Competition, English in Action Conversations, Wrench Speaker Series, TLab Program—Teachers Learning Abroad, and more.
