A Virtual College & Career Fair for High School Students Preparing for Global Opportunities
About the Event
Away from the borders and coasts, Kansas City-area students are often surprised to find just how many international academic and professional opportunities await them after high school. This unique college and career fair brings students to the virtual table, together with dozens of international businesses, organizations, colleges, and universities, in order to show them just how global their future can be.
Previous Your Global Future college and career fairs brought together more than 500 Kansas City–area high school students and their teachers, from around the Kansas City metro region. They interacted with more than 50 businesses, university programs, and community organizations. For this year’s Your Global Future,
we’re going virtual – and bigger.
Virtual booths hosted on a digital platform will include representatives from:
Businesses from a range of sectors, including agriculture, architecture and design, engineering, finance, hospitality, law, medicine, sports, technology, travel and transportation, and veterinary science;
Colleges and universities, including internationally oriented majors, clubs, and student groups;
Ethnic and cultural groups represented in the Kansas City area;
Kansas City-based international NGOs;
Performing and visual arts groups and museums with global connections; and
With a daily online lineup ranging from keynote presentations to one-to-one student and organization interactions, this event’s digital nature will provide a unique opportunity to connect for all virtual participants. At our live opportunities, students are encouraged to practice their interview skills by interacting with our global professionals.
In 2020, we've gone digital!

We can all benefit from some time together right now. That's why this year, a one-day standard virtual booth exhibit is complimentary with IRC organizational membership. For more information on IRC organizational membership, please contact Matthew Hughes or visit our pages for business, university, and nonprofit organizational members.
The Your Global Future program is underwritten by support from the participating organizations and generous Kansas City-area donors to ensure that attendance is completely cost-free for teachers and students. Sponsor packages to increase visibility and impact are available, for more information, please contact Matthew Hughes.
