Erika Garcia Reyes serves as the International Relations Council's event assistant, a contractor role that supports event marketing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Erika was born in Mexico and moved to Kansas City as a child. She is passionate about serving her community. Erika has held many leadership roles where she mentored first-generation students, like herself, and created opportunities to develop their professional skills. She is very interested in how international events impact the Kansas City region and vice-versa. Covid Complexities: A Global Town Hall Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3 - 7-8:30 p.m. A
group of World Affairs Councils – nationwide, independent, nonpartisan educational organizations – is joining together with an international network of journalists
and specialists to organize conversations over the course of two evenings in early September. The goal is to help Americans understand the impact of the pandemic
in an interactive program open to all.
North Korea from the Inside Out Thursday, September 3 - 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The
North Korea: From the Inside Out colloquium will examine the regional security environment from the perspective of North Korea, and then from the remaining countries,
which comprise the six party talks.
