Dear@@first_name@@,

As we get ready to welcome March next week, we're also preparing for two exciting events. The rescheduledBerkley Lecture with Dr. Paul Salem, president of the Middle East Institute, will take place over lunch on Tuesday, March 3. Registration is available through the end of this week for this program on U.S. interests and policy in a turbulent Middle East. Later in the week, join us on Thursday for an open house at the IRC's new offices in Union Station.

IRC committees and planning teams are up and running for the new year! Please do let us know if you're interested in joining one – it's a great way to get to know the IRC and other IRC members, as well as to give back to the community. Shorter-term volunteer opportunities are available on the website, as well.

Please check out the IRC and community calendars below, and we'll look forward to seeing you soon.

Kind regards,

Matthew Hughes, Executive Director

IRC NEWS

Keep Up to Date with a Spring Full of Events
From our Berkley Lecture on Tuesday, March 3, to a March 11 program on the Emerging Impacts of the Coronavirus, to a May 7 when we'll be joined by Dr. Linda Godwin for International Cooperation in Space, there are many opportunities to explore different parts of the world with our upcoming events. We can't give enough thanks to our members, volunteers, Board of Directors, program partners and event attendees for allowing us to continue to grow.

March 5 Open House
Remember that we'll be opening our doors on the second floor of Union Station to the public on March 5 for an Open House. Come see our new offices, and enjoy some refreshments, all while learning about what the IRC has in store future.

Volunteer with the IRC
We could not do what we do without the help of our volunteers. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, click here, or feel free to reach out to IRC Program Coordinator Evan Verploegh.

Contribute to our World Citizen Blog
Each week on our website, we feature a blog post submitted from the public. The World Citizen Blog looks to illuminate Kansas City's connection to the rest of the world by sharing first-hand experiences. We ask blog posts to be roughly 500 words, and pictures are always appreciated. Click here to read past blog posts, or submit your own.
