Dr. Karen Schell
Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Kansas Medical Center
Development of Respiratory Therapy in Ghana

Dr. Karen Schell brings over 37 years of experience to the program in patient advocacy, education, management, best practices, and public relations. She is instrumental in developing Respiratory Care in Ghana, Africa which currently has the first bachelor of Respiratory Therapy in the country with the second program opening soon. Schell has made over 10 trips to Ghana providing clinics, education, and community service over the last 7 years. Dr. Schell currently serves as a classroom and clinical instructor in the Department of Respiratory Care Education and is also on the executive board of directors for the American Association of Respiratory Care as President Elect.
