Enjoy an informal discussion with former Ambassador Jose Vicente Pimentel, who will share about his extensive experience in the Brazilian diplomatic service, including stories of his time at various postings: D.C., Santiago, Paris, Rome, Guatemala, New Delhi, Pretoria, and Toronto. In the process, gain a richer understanding of Brazil and its foreign policy, as well as the country's bilateral relations with the U.S. Ambassador Pimentel will also address current open business opportunities.
Ambassador Jose Vicente Pimentel spent a year in Springfield, Missouri as a foreign exchange student before returning to Brazil to study law. Upon passing his exams, Ambassador Pimentel went into the foreign service academy. Throughout a 46-year career, Pimentel has served as the Head of Planning Staff, Undersecretary for Africa and the Middle East, and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Relations, just to name a few. Between 2003 and 2018, Pimentel has been the Ambassador to India, South Africa, and Canada.
