About the Fringe Festival
It all started in 1947 in Edinburgh, Scotland, as an alternative festival that played concurrently with the Edinburgh International Festival. Though not invited to participate, groups of actors, musicians, and the like performed at various venues on the fringe of the EIF. And so the Fringe as we know it was born. Fringe performing arts festivals can now be found all over the world, with dozens thriving in the United States today.

Fringe Festival KC has a five-mile footprint spanning through the cultural corridors of KC from River North to Old Westport and features visual, film, and performing artists in venues ranging in size from small to large.

About KC Creates
KC Creates is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization and IRC member committed to dynamic programming that engages audiences, supports the arts, and enlivens communities. Through loyal audiences and strategic partnerships, they produce live performing and visual arts events that extend into the private and public cultural landscape of Kansas City.

Event Tickets
Tickets are available for $15 for IRC members and $20 for non-members. Admission will include one button to enter the festival, a complimentary ticket to attend a show or gallery of your choice, and refreshments during the networking hour.

Venue and Parking
The networking hour will be held at City Stage on the basement level of Union Station. Parking is available in the garage to the west of Union Station. We regret that we are unable to validate parking. The streetcar offers a free alternative to parking at Union Station.
