July 2008- IRC presents "World Food Crisis: How Did It Happen & What Can Be Done" with John Gillcrist, President of Bartlett & Co., and Jay Sjerven, Senior Editor of Milling and Baking News. 

June 2008- International Journalists Ruth Rodriguez (Spain), Samuel Siringi (Kenya) and Randy Smith (from the Kansas City Star) spoke on Foreign Policy and the 2008 election. 

May 2008-Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the US Tae-sik Lee joins the IRC for a luncheon to discuss the Korea-American Free Trade Agreement.  

May 2008- Congressmen Dennis Moore and Emmanuel Cleaver speak at "Foreign Policy & the 2008 Election: Congressional View."

April 2008 - IRC presents WorldQuest 2008, a team trivia challenge played by over 200 participants.

June 2007 -  Ambassador Dennis Ross spoke to IRC about U.S. Diplomacy and his new book Statecraft:  And How to Restore America's Standing in the World. 

March 2007 -  Wes Jackson of the Land Institute addresses IRC about global sustanibility. 

February 2007 -  IRC hosts the Indian Ambassador to the United States, Ronen Sen.  

2006

December 2006 - IRC board attends Kofi Annan farewell address.  

June 2006 - IRC recognizes its volunteers each year with an intimate reception. 

March 2006 - IRC Executive Director Linda Trout presented the Academic WorldQuest Winners with their official trophy on NBC's Kansas City LIVE the week of March 6th.  The Rockhurst High School winners stopped by the show before going to the national competition to give Kansas City a taste of this exciting new IRC Event.  Click here to see the 5 minute clip.  Please allow a couple of minutes for uploading.
