Young Ambassadors Reaches Out to Young Professionals In Kansas City

IRC Young Ambassadors (YA) is a new group that is dedicated to reaching out to internationally-minded young professionals in the Kansas City area and providing programming relevant to their needs.

YA recently held its first meeting of its Great Decisions Discussion group, and is still welcoming new members. The group will be meeting in April on the topic of Kenya. The exact date has not yet been set, but watch IRC’s website for details. YA Great Decisions meetings are a great way to network and learn with young professionals in Kansas City while enjoying food and drink after work. Some future Great Decisions meetings will feature expert speakers and other fun guests.

In addition to Great Decisions, YA will be holding programs periodically throughout the year. YA’s first event of 2010 was “Teaching English Abroad,” which took place on January 21. This panel discussion welcomed four young professionals who had formerly taught English overseas in China, Japan, South Korea, and Eastern Europe. This kick-off event was made possible in part by Park University Graduate School. Look for other great events as the year continues.
