An investigative judge with an international reputation, Jean-louis Bruguière is the High Representative of the European Union to the United States for the fight against terrorism within the Terrorism Finance Tracking Program/Swift. Until 2007, he was responsible for the supervision and coordination of the anti-terrorism section in Paris. Having investigated more than 100 cases of terrorism during his 30 years career, from home-grown French and European terrorist organizations in the 1970s and 1980s, to the Algerian radical Islamists of the 1990s as well as the Al-Qaeda cells of today, Mr. Bruguière is considered one of the foremost experts in the West on terrorism issues.
