Mr. William Lambert, who was recently named Civilian Instructor of the Year at the Command and General Staff College (CGSC) in Ft. Leavenworth, and Col. Tom Wilhelm, Director of the Foreign Military Studies Office at CGSC, will brief us on the current Afghanistan-Pakistan region, one of the most volatile border regions in the world. As the U.S. military shifts focus to this area, what will be the impact on those countries as well as on U.S. defense strategy?
Mr. William Lambert is an Associate Professor in the Department of Joint, Interagency and Multinational Operations (DJIMO), at US Army Command and General Staff College. He is a resident graduate of the US Army and Pakistan Command and General Staff Colleges. Col. Tom Wilhelm has served in Afghanistan and Pakistan with Combined Forces Command and the Office of the Defense Representative-Pakistan, focusing on the Afghan National Army and security liason issues related to the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan.
